Spiral of life

This painting narrates the story of a protagonist born as a phoenix atop Mount Damavand, following the form of a spiral to represent the cyclical nature of life. Inspired by Joseph Campbell's monomyth, the narrative unfolds in three phases: Departure, Initiation, and Return.

The protagonist's miraculous birth marks the beginning of an epic adventure through unknown and treacherous lands. She faces numerous trials and challenges, encountering archetypal figures who guide and test her, fostering her inner growth and revealing her true purpose. Ultimately, she returns to her place of origin, enriched with wisdom and power, ready to inspire others.

The painting explores themes of death and rebirth, personal growth, and the quest for deeper meaning. Our heroine emerges as a reborn phoenix, symbolizing hope, courage, and eternal transformation. This painting also incorporates concepts from Carl Gustav Jung, particularly around archetypes and the collective unconscious, deepening the narrative's exploration of the heroic journey.
